Not Entirely FictitiousAs I sat there at one in the morning, listening to a Mafia-pressed copy of Introducing... the Beatles, I realised something.  It had been one year to the day since I last saw you.   Now, isn’t that strange?   I could almost say that I’ve forgotten what you look like.  Luckily, though, I have Queen records and your funny handwriting to keep your face fresh.   Do you remember how the three of us drank milk while listening to Quadrophenia?   She admits to falling asleep in your lap when we watched that movie.  I hope you didn’t forget its title.   And Not Entirely Fictitious

EntertainmentI saw her instantly.  I never had to see her face; I could see her memories more clearly than those of anyone else’s.  They were the same as mine.   Her words were still clear in the corners of my mind.  Stuck playing on a loop, like a pesky scratch in my favourite jazz record.  It was something I was unable to ignore.   I started every show with the speech.  It was sometimes boring, but it created the necessary tension.  I thought of myself as a sick magician--I built up to something filthy, but it was always good entertainment.  I wanted people to Entertainment

:sing: "Saturday, in the park--I think it was the Fourth of July!" Oh, Chicago. What conveniences in that song this year.

I'm finally going to Atlanta! Next Saturday, until the following Friday. :nod: The only reason I don't want to go is because I don't think I can survive without my records for that long. :| But there is hope! I have convinced my mother to take me to record stores there. I am enjoying this notion already.

In other news, I found a Sparks record (In Outer Space)at the Friendly Neighbourhood Record Store That Always Comes Through for Me, and it's quite a gas. It has comedic songs. And wonderful moustaches. My next hunt will be for Kimono My House.

Also: after watching The Muppet Show WAY too much, I have determined that, if Fozzie was a human, he would be Billy Joel. Or, conversely, if Billy Joel was a Muppet, he would be Fozzie. The resemblance is uncanny.

Because I am participating in the "Flash Fiction Month," expect a poop-ton (this is an accurate measurement, equal to 9.75 regular tons) of awful and short writing. The end.

A fun fact: my relationship with my sister is deteriorating at a rapid pace in recent weeks. It is inspiring. For literary purposes.

Another fun fact: because my hair is growing quickly and I'm not getting it cut, I wake up every morning with poofy Farrah Fawcett hair. It is grand.

You know what else is grand? Baking Christmas cookies.

My life is currently very mundane, so the above is the very important information that you'll get.

I have soft spots for Maine, 1968-1978, Scandinavia, and the Boppin' Elf.
I enjoy writing, and I would hope that you enjoy reading the naked things that I clothe into words.
